Great Britain’s beloved Queen, Elizabeth II left for her heavenly abode and was given a state funeral at Westminster Abbey, where her wedding to Prince Philip culminated in 1947 and where she was coronated in 1953.

The late Queen was buried on Monday at Windsor Castle, alongside her late husband, Prince Philip, and parents King George VI, and The Queen Mother and sister Princess Margaret. But one thing that’s being written about the most right now is the jewellery pieces that will adorn the Queen as she’s laid to rest. Throughout 96 years of her life, the Queen was known for her strength of character, elegance, and taste in jewellery and as expected, some pieces of jewellery from the royal treasure will accompany her to the grave.

Head of communications at the Natural Diamond Council Lisa Levinson told Metro.co.uk that “Her Majesty is an incredibly humble woman at heart who is unlikely to be dressed in anything but her simple Welsh gold wedding band to rest and a pair of pearl earrings.” She also added that the late Queen’s engagement ring, a diamond ring that originally belonged to Prince Philip’s mother Princess Alice of Battenberg is likely to be inherited by Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne.

A flag on Elizabeth’s coffin will representing the Sovereign and the UK, and have the Imperial State Crown mounted on it just the way it was showcased at the recent funeral service.
